New Baggage Allowance for Travelers of Air Zimbabwe

The national flag ship carrier of Zimbabwe, Air Zimbabwe (UM) is the only carrier offering direct flights to Harare, the capital of the country from departure point London Gatwick. The airline that dominates the direct flight market has recently done some policy changes towards its Free Baggage Allowance.
In its most recent notification, Air Zimbabwe informs that its new free baggage allowance for flights to Harare and Bulawayo from London Gatwick Airport is 2 PC. The term 2 PC refers to a ‘piece concept’ signifying that the travelers are eligible to carry 2 pieces of luggage each person or child (excludes infant).
In the piece concept, each customer can take his baggage divided into two packs/suit cases each weighing not more than 23 Kilos each in general. However, Air Zimbabwe travelers should remember that the carrier only allows “40 kilos” of free baggage. In other words, when flying with this Zimbabwean airline the travelers should not pack more than 20 kilos in each bag and the limit for free baggage is 40 kilos in total.
Here, please note that the free Baggage is only the luggage that is sent in the airline’s baggage compartment / cargo.
